Bodyboarding is a favourite activity for youngsters and adults to have fun in the water whilst staying safe. Knowing your limits in the sea and standing only waist deep in white water will prevent you from getting caught in any rip currents. What’s great about Treyarnon beach is that there are RNLI lifeguards Daily from 29 April–24 September, with patrolling times from 10am – 6pm.

After a day bodyboarding you must be hungry, there are many pop up cafes serving anything from your local traditional Cornish pasty to Italian sourdough pizza fresh from the oven.

When you visit Cornwall you always have that urge to get in the water and surf – everyone has it and everyone feels it! Treyarnon bay isn’t a world famous surfing spot but can produce some great fun short waves, although great care should be taken as there is a strong rip current here so we would only advise surfing here if you are a confident swimmer.

Seven Bay Surf located in St Merryn, just a short drive away, offer equipment hire with everything you need to stay warm and have fun in the water. Pre-booking available with prices start from £15 for adult wetsuits and £20 for a soft top surfboard. They also offer delivery service which you would need to contact them for.
